"Giving pieces of me in places where others can be nurtured and grow is my destiny"- Phyllis Brooks
After publishing her first book, Let Me Be Your Coach, Phyllis knew she wanted to dedicate herself to writing more books that could motivate, inspire, and encourage our youth to never give up on their dreams! She enjoys bringing her message to conferences, schools, colleges, and other events to share her "BEGIN" acronym. Phyllis helps encourage and motivate others to set and reach unbelievable goals and overcome obstacles based on "BEGIN" and her own life-changing experiences.
She leaves each event and speaking engagement feeling like she's made a difference, and that brings a smile to her heart.
Bullying is not new. It has become an increasingly devastating issue that is detrimental to children and parents everywhere. Phyllis's second book, Brandon the Bully Meets Nina-No More, is about Brandon, an eleven-year-old that likes to cause trouble and pick on kids smaller than him until a girl half his size, Nina-No More, teaches him and his friends the "BEGIN" acronym.
Children deserve the chance to go to school to learn, be motivated to do their best, excel, and look forward to the future without the fear of being bullied! Phyllis is a victim of childhood, high school, and adult bullying. She gives first-hand advice to children being bullied so they can have a foundation for coping. Her advice also teaches parents, educators, and bullies on how they can work together to help stop these unfortunate actions.
When you know your purpose, you want to live, share, and motivate others through your purpose. When Phyllis was around 4 years old, she remembers playing in her front yard, deep in the country, with her oldest brother. Suddenly, a huge bird scooped her up into the air. Luckily, her oldest brother was nearby, picked up a rock, and threw it at the bird. The bird dropped her to the ground. That moment signified Phyllis's purpose and that God has a lot more for her to do for others and share with others. Her purpose is to inspire, motivate, and encourage others to NEVER GIVE UP!
